Red Butte Gardens

Today was FREE day at the Red Butte Gardens, so we made plans to go.  Paul had an invitation to go to a cabin with his friend for the weekend and Daniel got sick so they didn't come, but we went with my next door neighbors, the Butterfields.  (Can I just say again that I LOVE having next door neighbors- especially this family!) 

 

The weather was perfect for me.  It was threatening to rain the entire time, so it was overcast and cool (78 degrees).  I had a backpack full of umbrellas just in case it started to rain, but we never needed them. 

 

Jane is definitely a favorite with my friends.  She keeps us all smiling.  The humidity was high enough that her curls were super tight today- her hair when brushed straight goes to her elbows and when dried falls a few inches off of her shoulders but today the curls were resting on her shoulders.  Last week she gave up napping when we made her give up the binkie.  She finally took a few naps over the weekend, but she is still acting really tired (perhaps just acting her age?).

Jane was tired and wanted to be held.  Darren was kind enough to carry her.  She stayed in his arms for quite a while.  Thank you Darren! She looks so tiny in his arms!

 

After lunch the kids had an arm wrestle.  Jane won and was so excited!

 Mark and Seth have gone to a movie, Daniel and Jane are resting and we have nothing planned for the rest of the day.  Sometimes nice, relaxing evenings are the best kind of evenings to have!
