Girl Magnets

This week has been really busy, but we had a lot of fun.  Mark and Paul had their musical dress rehearsals and  performances this week.  They were tired (in fact I let Paul stay home from school on Friday because he was so tired!) but they did well behavior wise despite their exhaustion. 

The boys came shopping with me last week to pick out some snacks to eat during the long dress rehearsal nights and during the performances.  They both picked out a can of Pringles potato chips.  When Paul opened his can he had four or five girls surround him asking him to share.  (He shared Mark's chips with the girls!)  Mark said that now he knows how Paul can get a date.  All he needs to do is open a can of Pringles!  It was fun to be back stage with the boy's group to see how they interacted with the girls.  (Their group had about 5 boys and 20 girls).   We now refer to Pringles as 'girl magnets'. 

The boys each had a solo in a song and they did really good.  I was super proud of them!  I really didn't expect them to stay on key and with the tempo as well as they did.  Friday night the weather caused some delays.  It started raining so hard when the play started, that we couldn't hear the actor.  The musical was performed at an outdoor theater.  It is a huge covered pavilion with a stage.  We had to take a few breaks here and there during the show to let the rain settle down.  My dad joked that he only got to see the "watered down" version of the play! 

The rain storm provided a gorgeous double rainbow before the performance started.

All in all, the boys had a wonderful experience and they can't wait for the next one!  Seth will be old enough to participate and he is really excited!
