Make a home movie and watch it (make up scenes to shoot- at a restaurant: a movie star walks in, or someone sees a mouse etc.)
The zoo usually does free zoo day on the last Wednesday of the month Oct-Feb or March. It doesn't show up on their calendar, so you may want to call before to make sure.
